Let's face it: databases are critical and complex, and this makes them sometimes stressful to operate. We need on call support but often handle this in a way which causes people to burn out of develop health problems. <br><br>In this talk we cover how businesses usually think about on call, and better alternatives. These alternatives can prevent financial losses from database outages and lead to happier, healthier, and more productive database administrators.
