CPU reservation is high in data centers, however usage is lower than predicted (30% according to the research). Containerization and colocation are two techniques for increasing CPU utilization. Nonetheless, this may cause interference between workloads. Rubik is a new solution created by the openEuler community. Its primary goal is to improve CPU utilization while ensuring QoS, particularly for critical online services. Rubik has open-sourced many critical features in openEuler, which is already being deployed in production by Huawei Cloud and Sina Weibo.
