<p>In this session, the outcomes of a small project will be summarized that aimed to find out what kinds of scaling models made sense for distributed manufacturing in the Global South. While DM has been celebrated for its smallness, it has a lot of potentials in resource scarce environments, but also to empower local communities and to manufacture products that are really needed, close to the end-user, and sustainably. The talk will focus on challenges and enablers of scaling DM, and present the scaling models we’ve found. </p>
