MapConductor
What is the MapConductor?
MapConductor is an open-source middleware SDK that provides a unified API across multiple mobile map SDKs such as Google Maps, Mapbox, HERE, ArcGIS, MapLibre, MapKit(iOS) and more!
In the conference talk, we introduce the concept and architecture.
At the Community Exhibition booth, visitors can experience MapConductor hands-on.
We will demonstrate a real Android/iOS applications running on an Android tablet and/or a iPad, allowing attendees to interact directly with the map on a screen. With a single codebase, visitors can switch between different map SDKs and immediately observe how the same application behaves across providers.
- Touch and operate a live demo on a display
- Switch map SDKs in real time using the same application logic
- Explore unified APIs for markers, camera control, polylines, and overlays
To support deeper learning, we will distribute a lightweight printed tutorial booklet (around 50 pages) that explains: - The motivation behind MapConductor
- Basic usage patterns
- Architecture overview
Because the talk session is limited to 15 minutes, this booth serves as the primary place for real technical discussion, live demos, and direct interaction with developers.
MapConductor is released under Apache License 2.0 and aims to grow as a community-driven, provider-neutral foundation for mobile map development.
